Mistral is named after a cold wind in southern France. Its new model, Le Chonk, has 1 trillion parameters.
In today's issue, HubSpot is helping your team start Monday caught up, with a CRM that updates itself.
Meanwhile, Google bought 3.6 GW of power, Schneider is paying $22.6B for design software, and Utah is letting an AI write prescriptions. A London court is also asking if a 30% app fee was fair.
The models are hungry. Everyone is selling lunch.

Finally, a Monday that doesn’t feel like one.
Imagine a Saturday where you're not catching up on the CRM you didn't touch all week.
HubSpot's new self-updating CRM doesn't wait for you to log back in. Friday's calls are already logged. The deal that needs a nudge Monday morning is already flagged. The automation you set up once keeps running without you thinking about it. None of it needed you over the weekend.
Customers are already seeing it pay off: 45% more deals closed. Finally, you start Monday caught up, not behind.

Mistral ships a 1T open model
Mistral launched Mistral Large 4, a model with 1 trillion parameters. Only 49B of them wake up for each request, so it is lighter than it looks. The open weights land at the end of October.
It scored 82% on a test of reproducing software bugs and 93% on Cybench, a security test. The API costs $1.36 per million input tokens and $4.18 per million output tokens.
Mistral trained it on about 3,800 Nvidia GPUs in its own European data centers. A €3B funding round came right before it. Read more
Google signs 3.6 GW
Google signed with Constellation Energy for 3.6 GW of power. 890 MW comes from nuclear plants on a 20-year deal. The other 2.7 GW comes from the PJM grid on a 15-year deal.
Constellation will spend $4.3B to squeeze more power from 11 nuclear units. That is called an uprate, and it means a reactor that already runs gives a bit more.
PJM expects up to 30 GW of new peak demand by 2030, mostly from AI data centers. Google now has a spot in that line. Read more
